Franklin, Kentucky City Marshals/Chiefs of Police
Franklin, Kentucky was established in 1819.  The chief law enforcement officer in Franklin’s early days, were City Marshals.  The earliest record found concerning this office was for the 1850’s.  The position of City Marshal was renamed to Chief of Police in 1915.
